Gyan meets 11-year-old Syrian refugee who lost 8 friends in bomb attack

Asamoah Gyan meets a Syrian refugee whose eight friends were ripped off in a bomb blast.

Gyan went to a barbering shop in Turkey to shave his hair and a conversation with the workers developed into an emotional one after an 11-year-old Hussein who works at the barbering shop disclosed to him how he lost eight friends including his best pal, Mohammed when playing a game in Mosul, Syria.

Hussein used to live in Mosul, Syria with his family of eight but relocated to Turkey after a bomb attack in their community.

Asamoah Gyan was touched by the story of the young Syrian refugee and also shared how he had to go through difficult moments getting to the top in his football career

The 31-year-old offered a piece of advice to Husein, telling him to take his studies seriously.

Asamoah Gyan has helped in several philanthropical works in his home country, Ghana, having spent over GHC 2 million cedis in community and social intervention programmes.

The Syrian refuse might be the next in line to benefit from the generosity of Gyan.
